Conducting has existed as early as Egypt. A conductor was symbolized as a person with a baton in hand standing in a group of musicians. A conductor in charge of an orchestra, choir, or an ensemble carries the responsibility of the performance of the whole team. He has to have a deep understanding of music theory and be able to hear each individual as well as the whole group at any given moment.
At Key to Music we provide those who are interested in conducting with both the conducting lessons and music theory lessons necessary to understand each segment of a musical piece. Once you’ve completed our courses you will have a clear understanding of how each person adds on to the team and most importantly how you can make it sound different, unique, and exciting.
